Paris Saint-Germain will need to revamp its central defense this summer with the likely exit of Sergio Ramos and Presenal Kimpembe out to start the 2023-24 season after suffering an Achilles injury.
Milan Škriniar is coming this summer as he’s already signed a contract with PSG. However, 90min reported on Saturday, citing a source, that the French giants and Tottenham Hotspur are among the teams offered Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte.
The two clubs need reinforcements in the left-sided center-back role this summer and Laporte is looking to exit Manchester City in search of first-team minutes.
Nonetheless, the Premier League side are happy to facilitate a departure for the 28-year-old, who’s under contract until 2025. Moreover, regarding a possible transfer fee, Laporte’s value sits at €30 million, which would be a wise economic target.
Sporting advisor Luis Campos has to make shrewd deals this summer with Financial Fair Play monitoring the French giants. After Kimpembe’s injury, only 17-year-old El Chadaille Bitshiabu remains as the left-sided center-back at PSG.
Meanwhile, Škriniar is a right-foot central defender, so he wouldn’t solve the issues for the Ligue 1 side next season and perhaps the pursuit of Laporte could be the ideal transfer for them.
