Report: AS Roma Manager Mourinho Open to Joining PSG Or Chelsea

AS Roma will soon have to resolve a dilemma regarding manager Jose Mourinho’s future at the club. The longtime Portuguese manager has a mere one more year remaining on his contract at AS Roma.

From Mourinho’s standpoint, he would be open to leaving AS Roma only for Chelsea or Paris Saint-Germain, according to a report from FootMercato (via Le10Sport). The report adds that AS Roma is open to parting ways with Mourinho after this season.

Mourinho served as the manager of Chelsea in each of the past two decades. His second run as Chelsea manager lasted two years, as he was sacked in the middle of the 2015-2016 season mere months after leading the Blues to Premier League triumph.

Mourinho has been linked with a possible move to PSG, which comes amid manager Christophe Galtier’s uncertain future with the reigning Ligue 1 champions. PSG football advisor Luis Campos reportedly views Mourinho as the “main objective” to replace Galtier.

AS Roma currently sits in third place in the Serie A table with 53 points through 29 matches, and it is in the quarterfinal round of the UEFA Europa League competition.

On Galtier’s part, he is currently in the first year of the two-year contract deal that he agreed to with PSG last summer.
