PSG Will Not Give Managerial Position to Popular Argentine Coach, per Report

Paris Saint-Germain’s coaching position could be open soon, with Christophe Galtier having an uncertain future. As a result, various names are linked to leading the capital club for the 2023-24 season, and one rumor is Marcelo Gallardo.

Gallardo is currently a free agent after leaving River Plate in 2022 and many believe that his next destination will be a European club. However, it doesn’t seem that PSG is prepared to hand their former player his first taste of European football.

Brazilian media outlet UOL Esporte (h/t Paris Fans) recently reported no proposal from PSG to bring Gallardo to the French capital for the 2023-24 season. Nonetheless, what the reporting doesn’t say is that the Ligue 1 side won’t have a new manager next season.

It might not be Gallardo, but where there’s smoke, there’s often fire and after crashing out in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, it appears the rumors continue to get louder as the summer months near.
