Paris Saint-Germain loanee Mauro Icardi has been on quite a tear for Galatasaray so far this season.
Icardi shined in Galatasaray’s 4-1 Super Lig win over Alanyaspor on Tuesday. The Argentine forward scored Galatasaray’s second goal of the contest, and the current Super Lig leaders did not look back from there, as they went on to pick up a third straight win in league play.

Overall, Icardi reached 20 goal contributions in Super Lig play this season with his goal against Alanyaspor. The veteran forward currently ranks at fourth in goal contributions among all players in the Super Lig this season.
Furthermore, Icardi managed to tally at least 20 goal contributions in a single league season for the first time since the 2017-2018 Serie A campaign with Inter Milan when he logged 30 goal contributions.
As it stands, Icardi will return to PSG after his ongoing one-season loan stint at Galatasaray is up, but the Super Lig powerhouse is reportedly open to prolonging the Argentine’s stay in Turkey.
Galatasaray currently sits atop the Super Lig table with 69 points through 28 matches played.
