Paris Saint-Germain will be in the striker market this summer and the capital club has been linked to various players, including Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane.
Of all the reported targets, Kane is the most random considering a move away from England and the Premier League would have many scratching their head. Nonetheless, if the French giants are interested, it will cost them significant money.
The Telegraph reported on Monday that it would cost the capital club €90 million and for any Premier League club, they will have to pay €110 million for Kane. So although the English striker is the best at his position, it wouldn’t make sense for PSG to pursue him.
Kane will turn 30 this summer and only have a few years in his prime. Other targets, such as Randal Kolo Muani and Victor Osimhen, are the correct file due to their age, as both players are barely scratching their prime years.
Nonetheless, Kane might make sense for PSG if sporting advisor Luis Campos feels the team needs to win now as they’re not guaranteed to extend Kylian Mbappe, whose contract expires in 2025.
The Tottenham goal scorer has posted 26 goals in 43 appearances this 2022-23 season in all competitions.
