Paris Saint-Germain could be in the market for a new manager this summer. But, unfortunately, the Christophe Galtier experiment, which started out promising, has crashed out as the 2022-23 season is nearly ending.
Over the last few weeks, various names have surfaced concerning the PSG job, as it might soon be opening. One name is Bologna FC manager and former capital club midfielder, Thiago Motta.
Motta’s name has been reported by various outlets, and on Saturday, reporters asked him about his future with the Serie A side, knowing that there’s a possibility that he could coach the French giants.
“We will face Juventus with a lot of determination and we will try to give everything to come away with something,” Motta told reporters (h/t GOAL).
“We will talk about it at the right time. There’s no rush to sit down and discuss the best solutions for everyone. Right now my future is the next game against Juventus.”
If sporting advisor Luis Campos and PSG do indeed give the job to Motta, it would be a risk considering he hasn’t managed a club where the expectation is to win trophies. As a result, he will go from 0 to 100 real quick on the pressure scale.
However, if AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho isn’t a serious option and Zinedine Zidane possibly returns to Real Madrid, the ideal decision might be Motta, considering he’d at least feel the colors.
