The Twitter account FIFA World Cup Stats posted the top active goal scorers and the two PSG teammates feature in the list. Neymar Jr., despite his injuries since coming to the French capital, sits at No. 9 with 436 goals.
Neymar is one goal behind former capital club striker Edison Cavani, who’s in the No. 8 spot with 437 goals. Meanwhile, Messi is currently No. 2 (805 goals scored) on the active goal scorers list, with only Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner.

Ronaldo has scored 834 goals in his career; barring a miracle, the Portuguese forward will likely be ahead of Messi in that category. However, where the Argentine could beat out Ronaldo is who can score more goals at the club level.
