Paris Saint-Germain sporting advisor Luis Campos revamped the midfield last summer transfer, but it hasn’t been a bag of mixed results. As a result, there’s speculation over the possible reunion with Adrien Rabiot.
Rabiot will become a free agent in June when his contract with Juventus expires and PSG needs to keep in mind they have Financial Fair Play watching their every move; as a result, sporting advisor Luis Campos will look at the free agent market.
Nonetheless, Rabiot spoke with Téléfoot (h/t Canal Supporters) about possibly returning to his boyhood club after leaving in 2019.
“There is nothing special. I also hear a lot of noises,” Rabiot told the French media outlet. “I know it interests a lot of people, but I’m going to say it again, I’m really focused on this end of the season with Juventus and then we’ll see what happens afterward and in the coming weeks.”
Campos and Co. have already secured Milan Škriniar for the 2023-24 season and Rabiot could be a name that the Portuguese club chief is in the mix for this summer.
The midfield doesn’t have a catalyst and Marco Verratti is nearing the end of his prime years, so perhaps pursuing Rabiot wouldn’t be a wrong move for Campos to have him lead the group for next season.
