Barcelona, Messi Reunion Plan Revealed: What La Liga Club Is Doing to Sign Ex-Star

FC Barcelona has their hopes at a high that they’ll be able to land Lionel Messi this summer when his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires in June.

FOX Sports Argentina’s Veronica Brunati revealed in her reporting the updated plan that Barcelona has to land Messi once he becomes a free agent. First, Brunati notes that the Spanish club presented the economic feasibility plan, which was viewed favorably by La Liga.

The next green light that Messi might view in a favorable light will be that Barcelona, who’s on the verge of winning La Liga this 2022-23 season, will play in the UEFA Champions League next season.

Additionally, Brunati reports that the 35-year-old already knows the conditions the Catalan side offers him and will not renew with PSG as contracts with the capital have stalled.

However, there’s one catch before Messi can sign with Barcelona this summer. The La Liga side must sell off players to register the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner; nonetheless, she doesn’t provide an exact figure that Barcelona needs to reach.

Barcelona and Messi don’t reunite only if the club fails to sell and lower the wage bill to register him. As for the contract, the Argentine will be offered a two-year deal to have a tribute to Messi at the new Camp Nou.
