Paris Saint-Germain could look for a new manager this summer with the future of Christophe Galtier uncertain. Plenty of names are connected to the job this summer; one of them is a newly unemployed gaffer, Antonio Conte.
However, TuttoSport reported on Thursday that Conte is heading for a sabbatical year, which would mean that the Italian tactician wouldn’t be in the running to coach the French giants.
Conte wouldn’t be the wisest decision considering he burns out rather quickly and it would be ideal for sporting advisor Luis Campos to bring in a manager that can see out the project.
PSG should aim to have their version of Pep Guardiola and Jürgen Klopp, who have been with their club and seen the highs and lows. Nonetheless, they’re a constant presence at their respective clubs.
Galtier will finish out the 2022-23 season and then Campos and Co. will need to discuss what’s the plan for the summer. Qatar Sports Investment could also step in and overrule everyone to pick a new manager, so expect the ongoing managerial rumors to continue.
