Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi ended the international window with a bang as the 35-year-old scored a hat-trick in Argentina’s 7-0 victory over Curaçao on Tuesday night at Estadio Único Madre de Ciudades.
Messi opened the scoring for the South American side, but the 2022 FIFA World Cup didn’t stop at one goal. Minutes later, the veteran goal scorer recorded his brace as Argentina began their blowout.
However, two goals weren’t enough for Messi as the Argentine scored a hat-trick in the first half to put the cherry on top of a celebration the last few days in Argentina for the national team.
