Transfer News: PSG Reportedly Beating Out Juventus to Land Benfica Wonderkid

Paris Saint-Germain sporting advisor Luis Campos will need to navigate the capital club’s Financial Fair Play situation by acquiring players at a reasonable fee or on a free transfer.

One of the players that the French giants want to grab is viewed as the next Paul Pogba. Calciomercato reported on Wednesday, citing sources, that PSG is sorting out the final details after anticipating competition from other top clubs to land Cher Ndour.

Ndour’s contract with Benfica expires in June and he will leave the Portuguese side on a free transfer. The 18-year-old is on the list of half of Europe and among the clubs that followed him was Juventus, the club he grew up supporting.

Perhaps Campos has convinced Ndour of playing time and a good wage to begin his professional career. Nonetheless, with no player in PSG’s midfield really solidifying their role at the position, it could open the door for the Italian international to start right away if the signing occurs.
