Paris Saint-Germain needs to be mindful this summer transfer window with their spending as Financial Fair Play continues to monitor them. As a result, having Xavi Simons return for €12 million is a no-brain decision.
ESPN Netherlands reported, citing souces, that the capital club wants to lift the €12 million clause to bring Xavi Simons back. The French giants have until 2024 to trigger this option in his current contract.

The Ligue 1 side is also prepared to hand Simons a €4 million signing bonus to the midfielder and his agent, Rafaela Pimenta.
However, Simons does have the final say as to whether he wants to leave PSV Eindhoven and return to PSG. The Netherlands-based club knows this, so they hope to agree to a new contract with the teenager and not have this option that allows him to leave for a low fee.
Simons will have a significant decision as he could be the centerpiece to a rebuild in the midfield, considering sporting advisor Luis Campos’ signings last summer has brought a bag of mixed results.
