Paris Saint-Germain sporting advisor Luis Campos reportedly met with Roberto Calenda, the agent of Napoli star Victor Osimhen. As a result, the capital club could be without Neymar Jr. and Lionel Messi next season.
Now, la Repubblica reports (h/t Paris Fans), citing sources, that PSG could be ready to spend €150 million on the 24-year-old Napoli goal scorer. Osimhen has been one of the reasons why the Italian side has a sizeable lead for the Serie A title.
Additionally, Campos is familiar with Osimhen since he had the Nigerian international while at Lille OSC. PSG only has Hugo Ekitiké on its depth chart at striker for next season, so if Kylian Mbappé wants to play a more free role, then Osimhen or any other striker will be needed.
However, the cost of paying €150 million for a forward, knowing there are other needs to fix on the squad, does raise some eyebrows. It will be interesting to see what the transfer budget will be, as Campos has another summer window to mold the team in his vision.
