Transfer News: PSG Eyes Manchester City, Barcelona Stars to Revamp Attack

There will be changes coming to Paris Saint-Germain after the capital club was eliminated in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 again, this time by Bayern Munich last Wednesday at Allianz Arena.

As a result, sporting advisor Luis Campos has to get back to the drawing board to fix the squad. Diario Sport (h/t ESPN) recently reported, citing sources, that PSG wants to sign Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva and Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembélé in the summer.

Silva reportedly wants to leave the Premier League side in the summer and has been linked with FC Barcelona. Nonetheless, the Spanish club is finding it almost impossible to complete a deal that is likely to be valued at around €65 million.

However, the Silva chase could be challenging as the 28-year-old is reluctant to move to Paris but could accept it if there is no other option. The French giants could sway him with a large financial offer, as Campos also has a positive relationship with Silva’s agent, Jorge Mendes.

The capital club ruled Dembélé last summer as he ultimately signed a contract extension to stay at Camp Nou, but he could be set to move this summer if Neymar joins another club. The 31-year-old’s future at PSG is uncertain after having season-ending ankle surgery last week.

Dembélé has only one year left and contains a €50m release clause, and while both sides are working toward a new contract, if he doesn’t renew, the Catalan side could consider letting him leave.
