Transfer News: PSG Defender Has Saudi Club Offering Outrageous Salary, per Report

Most of the football media focuses on Lionel Messi and where he plans to continue his career, but Sergio Ramos will also become a free agent in June.

Ramos is reportedly not keen on lowering his wages and as a result, he could be exiting this summer. The Spanish media outlet, AS, confirmed the reporting done by L’Equipe that Al-Hilal is going after the former Real Madrid defender.

The French media outlet notes that the Saudi Arabian club is willing to pay €30 million per season; however, AS also reports that Al-Hilal can go as high as paying Ramos €50 million per season.

Saudi Arabia is attempting to organize the 2030 FIFA World Cup and seeks to attract big stars to give its football greater media exposure, as it already achieved with Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival to Al-Nassr in December.

Ramos, who has not heard from PSG, has not yet decided anything regarding his future, but the 36-year-old might have to consider clubs outside of the capital club.
