Paris Saint-Germain sporting advisor Luis Campos is beginning to lay out his plans for the summer transfer window. Lionel Messi could exit this summer, as his contract expires, and if there’s a possibility, Neymar Jr.
As a result, Campos needs to revamp the attack and the Portuguese club chief appears to want to reunite with a former player of his, Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva.
Relevo (h/t Culture PSG) reported on Tuesday, citing a source, that Silva wants to continue his career elsewhere after six seasons with Manchester City. Furthermore, Campos is making the winger a priority target for this summer transfer window.
Nonetheless, should Silva leave the Premier League club, he’d like to go to La Liga, where the Portugal international has been linked to FC Barcelona; however, the state of the club’s finances essentially compromises the feasibility of the operation.
Silva’s contract expires in 2025; if Manchester City doesn’t receive the offer they feel justifies a sale, then there’s no rush in selling him.
