Report Reveals Galtier’s Stern Message to PSG Players Right After the Champions League Exit vs. Bayern Munich

Paris Saint-Germain’s UEFA Champions League run came to an end in the round of 16 for the second straight year. Bayern Munich came away with a 3-0 aggregate win over PSG on Wednesday to punch its ticket to the quarterfinal round of the competition.

RMC Sport shared some behind-the-scenes details on the moments following PSG’s early Champions League exit, noting that there was “anger and frustration” in its locker room after the match.

RMC Sport added that PSG manager Christophe Galtier took some time to speak to his team following its 2-0 second leg defeat to Bayern Munich. He reportedly made clear to his squad that if “there was no reaction very quickly, everyone would be in great difficulty.”

PSG did manage to get back on the right track on Ligue 1 matchday 27, as it secured a 2-1 away win over Brest to open up an 11-point lead over Olympique de Marseille atop the league standings. Goals from Carlos Soler and Kylian Mbappe were all that PSG needed to clinch a victory against Brest.

PSG will next be in action on March 19 with a Ligue 1 home fixture against Rennes.
