Paris Saint-Germain is continuing to keep a close watch on Neymar. The Brazilian forward has been out of action since suffering an ankle injury during the second half of PSG’s Ligue 1 home fixture against Lille OSC on Feb. 19. He has since not featured in a single collective training session with the rest of the squad.
According to L’Equipe, Neymar is hopeful that he will end up featuring for PSG in its UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg matchup against Bayern Munich. He has been receiving treatment on his ankle as of late.
For the moment, PSG has not ruled out Neymar from next week’s Champions League clash against the current Bundesliga leaders.
Neymar is at the least expected to not be included in PSG’s squad list for its upcoming Ligue 1 home fixture against Nantes.
The Brazilian international currently sits in a tie with Lionel Messi for the most goal contributions in Ligue 1 play this season with 24.
