Report: Achraf Hakimi Receives Support From PSG Amid Rape Allegation

Achraf Hakimi is currently in serious legal trouble as the Paris Saint-Germain star is “under investigation” for an alleged rape reported on Monday.

The alleged victim, 24, residing in Fontenay-sous-Bois (Val-de-Marne), indicated that she did not wish to file a complaint but “to make a statement of rape.” Nonetheless, the club is providing its support.

Le Parisien reported on Wednesday, citing sources, that PSG collected information on the matter and remained in support of its player.

“The club is in support of the player who has firmly denied the accusations and trusts justice,” Le Parisien reported. “PSG is an institution that promotes respect on and off the pitch.”

Furthermore, Hakimi’s lawyer, Fanny Colin, refutes the accusations against her client. “The charges are false. He is serene and is at the disposal of justice,” Colin noted to the French media outlet.

While Hakimi attends to his legal matters, it will not cost the 24-year-old from missing any time from the squad, as he returned to PSG training this Wednesday after two days of rest granted to the entire team.

“The club let it be known that there is no reason for Hakimi to miss the session with his partners this Wednesday [at] noon,” Le Parisien added.

Hakimi could make his return on the pitch in the capital club’s contest against FC Nantes on Saturday at the Parc des Princes as the team makes their final preparations before the second leg clash with Bayern Munich on March 8 at Allianz Arena.
