The future of Paris Saint-Germain manager Christophe Galtier is uncertain after the capital club crashed out in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 again, this time to Bayern Munich.
Over the last couple of weeks, rumors have surfaced, including the possible return of former manager Thomas Tuchel. However, those hopes of a reunion might not occur as Sport Bild reported, citing sources, that the German tactician is the leading candidate for the Real Madrid job.
Real Madrid is currently nine points behind FC Barcelona to win La Liga and trailing 1-0 on aggregate to the Catalan side in the Copa del Rey semifinal heading into the second leg.
Los Blancos are in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals, but the 2022-23 season is a trophyless campaign; Carlo Ancelotti might be out. However, the Italian tactician could also leave on his terms, considering he’s linked to the Brazil national team job.
Nonetheless, seeing what PSG does this summer will be interesting, whether giving Galtier another opportunity with a deeper squad or heading in a different direction.
