Lionel Messi Reveals How’s Life After Achieving ‘Lifelong Dream’ of Winning World Cup

The last few months have been a whirlwind for Lionel Messi as the 35-year-old lifted the 2022 FIFA World Cup trophy in Qatar, which had long eluded him in his career.

Messi had an opportunity to discuss what these last few months have been like for him when the veteran forward spoke with PSG TV. The former FC Barcelona star noted the emotions of winning the World Cup and the ensuing celebrations.

“Everything I experienced was very nice; it’s hard to explain, right?” Messi said. “Because it is a lifelong dream that came true, that we were able to share with the people of Argentina, the way the people of Argentina celebrated it.

“Honestly, we expected it to be crazy, but not as crazy as it was in reality. It’s a moment that will stay with us for the rest of our lives, for us who were lucky enough to play in the World Cup, and for all the people of Argentina.

The Argentine will now attempt to focus on PSG as the squad looks to overcome a 1-0 hole against Bayern Munich on Wednesday at Allianz Arena. Messi is clicking with Kylian Mbappé as the duo has scored in three straight games.

Additionally, with no Neymar Jr. as the Brazilian’s 2022-23 season is over, PSG will now rely on the two star players to ensure that they can get through into the quarterfinals and keep their UEFA Champions League hopes alive.
