Italian Outlet Gives Latest on PSG’s Reported Interest in Roma Boss Jose Mourinho

Paris Saint-Germain manager Christophe Galtier has an uncertain future in the French capital. Names of possible replacements keep coming out through the media; one of them is AS Roma boss Jose Mourinho

Mourinho has a connection to sporting advisor Luis Campos, so it’s no surprise his name is being mentioned. However, Corriere dello Sport reported on Wednesday that Mourinho has decided to remain with the Serie A side.

The Portuguese tactician has one more year left on his contract with Roma and it appears he intends to honor that agreement. Furthermore, the Italian club could play in UEFA Champions League football during the 2023-24 season.

Roma is two points away from overtaking AC Milan for fourth place in Serie A. Furthermore, the squad remains alive in the UEFA Europa League as they’ll face Feyenoord in the quarterfinals.

So there are two routes for the team to take to play in Europe’s top club tournament for next season. As a result, Mourinho might want to see this Roma project out rather than jump ship to join PSG this summer.

If Mourinho is not an option, the Campos and Co. will need to look elsewhere to grab a manager more than capable of spearheading his vision for the squad should Galtier not return.
