Stat Shows Lionel Messi Has Terrible Streak Wearing No. 10 At Club Level

The No. 10, at the club level, hasn’t brought Lionel Messi the best of luck. Paris Saint-Germain fell 2-1 to Olympique de Marseille on Wednesday at the Stade Vélodrome in the Coupe de France Round of 16.

Messi wore the No. 10 again for the second time while at PSG and the jersey number hasn’t treated the 35-year-old too kindly. The Argentine is winless in his last five matches as the No. 10 at the club level.

Furthermore, the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner suffered a hamstring pain that has many wondering if he’ll be able to suit up for the capital club’s first leg contest in the Round of 16 UEFA Champions League matchup against FC Bayern Munich on Tuesday at the Parc des Princes.

It will be interesting to see whether Messi will have another crack at wearing the No. 10 at PSG or elsewhere, with his contract expiring in June, to break this bad streak at the club level.
