Neymar Jr.’s future at Paris Saint-Germain is questioned after his latest ankle injury in the 4-3 victory over Lille OSC on Sunday at the Parc des Princes.
However, it appears the 31-year-old wants to win with PSG. Before injuring his ankle, Neymar spoke with Sambafoot (h/t Paris Fans) after winning his sixth Golden Samba award, where he was asked about the UEFA Champions League and winning the trophy for the capital club.
“We all want to win,” Neymar said. “That’s why I won’t use the verb ‘can’, because that might sound like it’s easy and it’s not. The biggest clubs and the biggest athletes in the world play in the Champions League …
“What I can guarantee is that we will give our all in all the competitions we play and we hope to win them all and win this title. I can say that there will never be a lack of commitment.”
There’s no precise date when Neymar gave the interview, but the French giants again find themselves in a hole. Bayern Munich is up 1-0 after the first 90 minutes of action after last week’s contest.
Additionally, Neymar now appears to be on his way to missing the second leg between the two European giants. If PSG fails to overturn its current situation and crashes out, there will be more criticism and calls for change that could result in Neymar’s exit this summer.
