Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi is on the doorstep of once again making history in his legendary career.
Messi shined for PSG in its 4-3 Ligue 1 home win over Lille OSC on matchday 24. The Argentine forward scored the game-winning goal of the match and also created three goal-scoring chances for teammates during his time on the pitch. His lone goal of the contest was a thrilling, free-kick score that left the Parc des Princes crowd in awe.
Messi now sits at an astounding 699 goals in his club career. With one more goal, the Argentine forward will become the second player ever to score at least 700 club goals, joining Cristiano Ronaldo.
