Paris Saint-Germain could be in the market for a striker this summer transfer window. The capital club might see Lionel Messi exit as his contract expires in June. One of the possible targets is Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
However, if PSG is going to go after the Nigeria international, it will cost them a significant amount of euros. ESPN reported on Friday, citing sources, that the capital club, along with Manchester United, is expected to pay a transfer fee of at least €100 million.
Osimhen has turned himself into one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe this 2022-23 season by leading Napoli’s pursuit of a first Serie A title since 1990. The 24-year-old has scored 15 goals in 20 games in all competitions.
Additionally, the source told ESPN that Napoli will not let Osimhen exit for less than €100 million. However, the prospect of Manchester United and PSG making a serious effort to sign the player has raised the possibility of an even greater fee.
The Napoli goal scorer has two years left to run on his contract with the Italian club, having arrived at the club in a €70 million move from Lille OSC in 2020.
