Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi appeared on Amazon Prime Video’s “Small Talk,” where the Morocco international spoke on many topics, including having Sergio Ramos as a teammate.
Hakimi and Ramos’ paths crossed at Real Madrid and now again in the French capital. The 24-year-old revealed what it’s like to have the veteran defender, who announced his retirement from international football on Thursday, as a teammate.
“We have already played together and I know how important he is in a locker room,” Hakimi said (h/t Culture PSG). “I am very happy to see him here in Paris. We have a very good relationship; he helped me a lot when I was younger.”

Additionally, Hakimi noted why he opted to leave Inter Milan in 2021 to join PSG. The right-back appears to want to be one of the first players to bring the UEFA Champions League to the French giants.
“I want to continue to write my own story and that means winning titles,” Hakimi continued. “I joined Paris to win the Champions League. It’s difficult; the club has never won it. I want to be one of those who won this competition for the first time with PSG. I want to mark the history of the club.”
The PSG defender hopes to be fully fit for the second-leg contest against Bayern Munich in the Champions League Round of 16 on March 8 at Allianz Arena. If the capital club wants to turn the 1-0 aggregate deficit they face, they’ll need Hakimi to play a significant role in the potential comeback.
