Messi earned a start in the match, and he was quite active when on the ball over the course of the league contest. Overall, the Argentine forward scored a goal, created one goal-scoring chance, and won five ground duels during his time on the pitch.
Messi has recorded at least one goal contribution in three of his last four appearances in Ligue 1 play.
