Transfer News: PSG Betting on Youth As French Giants Target PSV’s €4.5M Youngster

Paris Saint-Germain is using the final hours to find a replacement for Pablo Sarabia, who departed for Wolverhampton Wanderers. There have been a couple of rumors linking forward to PSG, with the latest being PSV Eindhoven’s Johan Bakayoko.

Foot Mercato reported on Monday that sporting advisor Luis Campos is eyeing the 19-year-old forward as interest is becoming more and more concrete. The French media also reveals that PSG has contacted the Belgium international’s entourage.

Bakayoko is under contract until 2025, so PSV is under no pressure to sell that forward. The teenager has made 19 appearances for the Dutch club, scoring fives goals and recording one assist this 2022-23 football season in all competitions.

When it comes to a possible transfer fee, Transfermarkt puts Bakayoko’s value at €4.5 million, so it wouldn’t be a purchase that would break the bank. Furthermore, the teenager has experience coming off the bench and contributing, which could also be a factor in landing the forward.
