Paris Saint-Germain loanee Leandro Paredes left the capital club this past summer transfer window to join Juventus on loan. However, the stint with the Italian giants might be one year and done.
TyC Sports’ Gastón Edul reported on Monday that Paredes’ tenure with Juventus is not guaranteed. The Old Lady is in UEFA’s sights for “potential breaches of financial fair play and licensing regulations.”
The police of European football could soon sanction Juventus. While the Italian club’s financial health is far from stable, the Serie A side could be forced to abandon the idea of recruiting Paredes definitively.
Sanctions could soon come to freeze any agreement made beforehand, including that of the loan that brought the Argentine to Turn. As a result, Paredes is likely to return to PSG this summer.
Nonetheless, if Paredes performs well after winning the 2022 FIFA World Cup with Argentina, the French giants could find a suitor for him.
