Paris Saint-Germain will be without multiple players for its upcoming Ligue 1 home fixture against Angers.
On Tuesday, PSG released its squad list for the Angers clash, and a total of six players will not feature on Ligue 1 matchday 18.
Among them, Kylian Mbappe and Achraf Hakimi are still away from the team. They were granted multiple days off by PSG manager Christophe Galtier following the team’s home victory over Strasbourg two weeks ago. At the least, they are expected to soon make their returns to collective training.
PSG is still keeping a close watch on the injury situations of both Nuno Mendes (hamstring) and Presnel Kimpembe (tendinitis in his right Achilles tendon). They each were not included in the squad list for PSG’s league matchup against Angers.
Renato Sanches has been sidelined as of late due to a minor bruise concern. Galtier noted during his pre-match press conference on Tuesday that Sanches is now “fine,” but the Portuguese midfielder will at the least miss one more match.
Marco Verratti picked up a right thigh injury during training on Tuesday and will also not feature against Angers.
PSG sure heads into Ligue 1 matchday 18 in dire need of a win to maintain a lead of at least four points over second-place side RC Lens in the league standings.
