A recent report revealed that Forest is the most interested in signing Navas this January transfer window. However, with only a few days until it closes, the Premier League side is amping up their pursuit.
Starting goalkeeper Dean Henderson recently suffered a thigh strain in their victory over Leicester City on Jan. 14. The 25-year-old is likely to be ruled out until late February.
The Reds currently sit four points above the relegation zone, and adding Navas could keep them in the Premier League. Navas’ possible arrival could also help create a buffer too. It will be interesting to see if both parties can reach an agreement before Tuesday’s deadline.
