Premier League: PSG, Chelsea Reportedly Reach Agreement on Hakim Ziyech

In the final minutes of the January transfer, Paris Saint-Germain landed their forward to replace Pablo Sarabia. The capital club has reportedly reached an agreement for Hakim Ziyech.

The Athletic’s David Ornstein reported late Tuesday, citing sources, that the French giants have agreed to a loan deal with Chelsea. PSG will pay a loan fee to sign the 29-year-old for the remainder of the season, but there is no obligation to purchase included in the deal.

All that’s left for the loan transfer to be finalized is that it needs to be signed before Tuesday night’s transfer deadline. As a result, it appears as though the paperwork is required only for Ziyech to become a PSG player.

On Monday, Le Parisien reported that the Morocco international is already in Paris to complete any physicals that will allow him to join PSG. Additionally, the French press revealed that Achraf Hakimi convinced his national teammate to choose the French club.

The Morocco international has struggled to nail down a place in Chelsea’s starting XI this season, making just 10 Premier League appearances. Ziyech has not scored a goal for Chelsea this 2022-23 season, and perhaps a change could help the veteran forward.
