The 2022 FIFA World Cup celebrations for Lionel Messi are over, as he made his return to the Camp des Loges on Wednesday for his first collective training session with Paris Saint-Germain in two months. The PSG star was in Argentina over the past two weeks, where he continued to celebrate La Albiceleste’s triumph in the World Cup.
Messi received a guard of honor from the club and also a trophy from PSG football advisor Luis Campos to commemorate his World Cup win with the Argentina national team.
In the big picture, Messi now has his sights set on the second half of the club season.
“Many thanks to my colleagues and all the people of the club for the welcome they gave me,” Messi wrote on Instagram. “We’re back and looking forward to continuing to meet the goals of this season, now with PSG.”
