Messi shares just why he has not yet rewatched Argentina’s 2022 World Cup Final win over France

It has been well over a month since the Argentina national team won the 2022 FIFA World Cup following its thrilling final win over France. Plenty of Argentinians have since rewatched the final a multitude of times, but Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi has not yet done so once.

During a recent appearance on Urbana Play 104.3 FM’s “Perros de la Calle” radio program, Messi noted that while he has not yet rewatched the entirety of the final, he has at the least seen multiple highlights from the dramatic match.

“To say the truth, no,” Messi said. “I have not seen it again. I have seen highlights, plays, I saw a lot of people celebrating when we became world champions. But I have not rewatched the full 90 minutes itself.”

Messi was the star of the show in the World Cup final. He scored two goals against France, as he finally managed to record at least one goal in a major international tournament final. In the end, Gonzalo Montiel’s penalty shootout goal clinched Argentina its third World Cup tournament win.

It sure will be a special moment for the PSG star when he finally takes some time to watch a broadcast of one of the greatest World Cup finals of all-time.
