Lionel Messi was in Qatar on Wednesday as Paris Saint-Germain prepared for its friendly against Riyadh All-Star XI. The Argentine returned to Doha, where arguably his most significant career accomplishment occurred, winning the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
As a result, Qatar’s residents are very fond of Messi and during PSG’s open training sessions with fans in attendance, they showed the 35-year-old plenty of love.
Messi scored while training and once the ball went past goalkeeper Keylor Navas, the crowd erupted into applause and cheers for the veteran.
