The Spanish media, of all outlets, have been on the train that Lionel Messi will remain with Paris Saint-Germain. Their reporting, along with France’s and Argentina’s, have placed the 35-year-old in the French capital for at least another season.
Spanish outlet Sport is the latest to confirm that the veteran will remain with PSG. The details from the reporting reveal first that a return to FC Barcelona is “impossible” for Messi.
Sport claims that Messi agreed with PSG to renew his contract, which will be extended for one or two more years and adds that both parties will agree to the figures.
Messi will be in Paris for at least two more seasons if nothing unusual happens and that could come in the form of Inter Miami. The MLS club is likely the only other serious bidder for the Argentine.
Nonetheless, the Spanish outlet claims that, among other reasons, no other club has presented him with a solid offer for the future, none. Not even Barcelona, with which he continues without dialogue or contact. It would be very nice to see him again as a Barça player, but the reality is what it is.
