Latest Neymar Update Is Good News for PSG Ahead of the Ligue 1 Fixture vs. Angers

Paris Saint-Germain manager Christophe Galtier held a scheduled training session for his squad on Monday. Neymar made his return to training in the session, which came two days ahead of PSG’s Ligue 1 home fixture against Angers.

Neymar was sidelined from PSG’s Coupe de France round of 64 fixture against Chateauroux. Galtier noted ahead of the French Cup contest that the team’s medical staff was going to be treating the forward’s sprained ankle injury. It was simply a precaution for the club, as the Brazilian international has not been dealing with any major injury.

Barring any surprise in the coming days, Neymar is expected to return to action in PSG’s upcoming home clash against Angers.

Neymar last featured for PSG in its 2-1 Ligue 1 win over Strasbourg two weeks ago, where he recorded one assist and was sent off in the second half.

Overall, the Brazilian forward has chipped in with 21 goal contributions in Ligue 1 play so far this season.
