Galtier Reveals the Truth on Navas’ PSG Future Amid Nottingham Forest Links

Paris Saint-Germain could soon see another player leave the club over the ongoing winter transfer window.

As noted by L’Equipe’s Loic Tanzi, PSG goalkeeper Keylor Navas has agreed to join Premier League side Nottingham Forest. PSG and Nottingham Forest must “now agree on the terms” of a possible deal.

During a pre-match press conference ahead of PSG’s Ligue 1 home fixture against Reims, manager Christophe Galtier took some time to touch on Navas’ future with the club. The first-year PSG manager noted that the club is open to a move that would see the Costa Rica international leave the team in the coming days.

“The transfer window ends in 4 days, and I am very focused for the game,” Galtier said. “Keylor is a great competitor, he is exemplary on the job. … He was appointed keeper on the French Cup.

“There is also what he feels, and the sports management is listening. We will see the reality of the staff after the transfer window. But because of the man and because of his career, we must respect him, and we must listen to him.”

Navas has not played in a Ligue 1 match so far this season, although he did earn starts in PSG’s opening two contests of this year’s Coupe de France tournament. The veteran goalkeeper has a mere one more season left on his contract with the club.
