Paris Saint-Germain’s UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie against Bayern Munich is just around the corner. PSG will host the first leg of the tie on Feb. 14, where the reigning Ligue 1 champions will look to pick up a crucial win over the Bundesliga powerhouse.
PSG manager Christophe Galtier already has an eye on next month’s showdown against Bayern Munich, and he is hoping to see his squad improve in several aspects of play, including in its attacking production.
“A lot on our offensive animation that we have lost, or at least that has been less good lately, for different reasons and especially in the league,” Galtier said during a press conference on Friday.
“We worked a lot on that and the ability to be able to react to the loss of the ball to avoid that the opponent can organize to get the ball out.”
PSG’s attack has been in roller-coaster form as of late. PSG failed to score at least three goals in each of its opening four Ligue 1 fixtures of the second half of the season. However, Galtier’s squad is just coming off a 7-0 win over French sixth-division side Pays de Cassel in the Coupe de France round of 32.
PSG will next be in action on Ligue 1 matchday 20, as it will host Stade de Reims.
