After a 5-4 friendly victory over Riyadh All-Star XI in Saudi Arabia, Paris Saint-Germain will kick off this week with a Round of 32 Coup de France matchup against US Pays de Cassel.
The capital club announced on Sunday, the squad that will be playing against the lower division side. One omission from the team traveling to the Stade Bollaert-Delelis is Lionel Messi.

While Messi won’t be part of the group, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar Jr. will be available to play. However, it will be interesting to see if either of those two players should play in this game, considering the level of their opponent.
Messi has only played in Ligue 1 competition and the friendly in Saudi Arabia. Manager Christophe Galtier needs to ensure he has his star players healthy ahead of the UEFA Champions League clash against Bayern Munich on Feb. 14.
Additionally, matches such as these allow for other players to have minutes, so Galtier will ask PSG’s depth to step up, as they’ll also have a game against Stade de Reims next Sunday.
