After playing only one group stage, Neymar Jr. returned to the Brazil national team, starting 11 for their 2022 FIFA World Cup Round of 16 matchup against South Korea on Monday.
The 30-year-old didn’t take long to find the back of the net as Tottenham Hotspur’s Richarlison generated a penalty kick. Neymar stepped into the box to take the shot and would convert as Brazil took a commanding 2-0 lead over South Korea.
Barring a comeback, which is possible, Brazil has one foot in the quarterfinals.
