The Brazil national team crashed out in the 2022 FIFA World Cup Quarterfinal round, as Croatia clinched a penalty shootout win over the CONMEBOL powerhouse on Friday.
Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar scored in the first extra time period to provide Brazil with a much-needed 1-0 lead. Croatia forward Bruno Petkovic later knotted the match up at a 1-1 score with a late goal in the second extra time period. In the end, Croatia scored all four of its penalty shootout kicks, while Real Madrid forward Rodrgyo and PSG center-back Marquinhos whiffed on their attempts.

For now, Neymar is slated to soon return to PSG to begin preparations for the second half of the club season.
