Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi has once again stepped up for the Argentina national team in the 2022 FIFA World Cup knockout stage.
After Manchester City forward Julian Alvarez took on a hard foul by Croatia goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic in the penalty box in the first half of their semifinal clash, Messi took the ball and went over to the penalty spot to take the attempt.
In the end, the Argentine forward scored a thunderous penalty goal for Argentina’s opener against Croatia.
