Argentina center-back Nicolas Otamendi wound up fouling Randal Kolo Muani in the penalty box in the second half. France was then awarded a penalty kick, and in the end, Mbappe stepped up to the plate to score a crucial penalty goal.
Moments later, Mbappe stunned Argentina with a world-class goal to knot the match up at a 2-2 score.
Mbappe has now scored seven goals at the 2022 World Cup.
