Report Reveals Mbappe’s Status for PSG’s Ligue 1 Home Fixture vs. Strasbourg

Kylian Mbappe returned to PSG’s Camp des Loges training center on Wednesday to the surprise of many club officials and teammates. The PSG forward was just days removed from featuring in the thrilling 2022 FIFA World Cup Final, where Argentina clinched a dramatic penalty shootout win over France.

According to RMC Sport, Mbappe wants to “quickly” move on from the narrow loss to Argentina in the final of the sport’s biggest tournament.

The report adds that the French forward “should be available” to play in PSG’s upcoming Ligue 1 home fixture against Strasbourg, which will come on Dec. 28.

Mbappe played in all seven of France’s World Cup fixtures over the past month, and he tallied 10 goal contributions. Even though he could have been away from the team for multiple more days after taking part in such an arduous tournament, his call to return to PSG on Wednesday was “welcomed” by club officials.

PSG heads into the second half of the club season holding the top spot in the Ligue 1 standings with 41 points through 15 matches played.
