Paris Saint-Germain will be in for quite a test on Ligue 1 matchday 17, as the reigning France top flight champions will square off with RC Lens. PSG holds the top spot in the Ligue 1 standings with 44 points through 16 matches, and the side sits seven points above second place RC Lens.
PSG manager Christophe Galtier will have to get creative when selecting a starting lineup for this league fixture. PSG forwards Lionel Messi (post-World Cup vacation) and Neymar (red card suspension) will not be available to play against RC Lens.
As noted by Ligue 1’s official website, Galtier could call on these 11 players to start on matchday 17.

Carlos Soler came off the bench in PSG’s Ligue 1 home win over Strasbourg, and he did not provide much of a spark during his time on the pitch. The Spanish midfielder did not record a shot on target and also failed to create a goal-scoring chance. He could receive the call to start as a central attacking midfielder against RC Lens.
More so, Pablo Sarabia could go on to accompany Kylian Mbappe upfront in PSG’s attack.
PSG came away with 1-1 draws in each of its two league meetings against RC Lens last season.
