After returning from the 2022 FIFA World Cup break, Paris Saint-Germain returned to the pitch with a 2-1 win over Strasbourg on Wednesday at the Parc des Princes.
The capital didn’t have Lionel Messi due to the 35-year-old still being on vacation from winning the World Cup. Nonetheless, PSG did have Kylian Mbappe and Neymar Jr.
However, when the French giants clash with second-place side RC Lens on New Year’s Day, they won’t have Messi or Neymar. The Brazilian is suspended for the match after picking up a red card against Strasbourg.
With no Messi and Neymar, L’Equipe reported (h/t Culture PSG) Pablo Sarabia and Carlos Soler will step into the lineup and join Mbappe as the reigning Ligue 1 champions attempt to create some distance between themselves and Lens.

Sarabia and Soler are vying for more playing time and it seems manager Christophe Galtier is ready to give the two Spaniards more minutes.
