Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi has wasted a golden opportunity to provide the Argentina national team with a 1-0 lead in its 2022 FIFA World Cup group stage clash against Poland.
In the first half of the contest, Argentina won a penalty kick after Messi wound up being fouled by Poland goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny in the penalty box. The PSG forward stepped up to the plate to take the kick and in the end, the Juventus goalkeeper saved the attempt with ease.
